The Story of Symbiosis
Portugal
In 2016, Dean moved to Portugal and created an off-grid organic farm surrounded by nature. People came from all walks of life to learn about detox, fasting, food and natural ways to support the body. He ran daily workshops where he taught people about herbs and how to make their own natural remedies. It was very hands-on. He wanted people to understand their health for themselves, rather than simply being told what to do.
The Remedies
As the work grew, so did Dean’s knowledge of herbs and plants. He began making his own herbal extracts and tinctures, using ingredients such as roots, leaves, seeds, oils and resins. These became part of the detox programmes he was running at the farm. People could see how they were made, learn how to use them and even make their own. Over time, Dean began to build a collection of formulas that he knew could be taken beyond the farm.
Symbiosis
When Dean came back to the UK late 2022, he kept working on the formulas and ideas he had developed over the years. He wanted to make them easier for people to access, without having to travel to Portugal or spend weeks learning how to make them themselves. He brought together the herbs, extracts and natural ingredients he had been working with and turned them into a simple, structured range. That was the start of Symbiosis.
